PROPOSED 2020/2021 CLUB PROJECTS

Basic Education and Literacy:

• Build 1 Block of 3 Classroom for Ruga III Durumi Abuja
• Organize guidance and Counselling to Schools

GSS Wuse

Water and Sanitation:

• Sinking of borehole
• Monthly sanitation in collaboration with ministry of environment
• Donation of Water purification agents to health centers

MATERNAL AND CHILD Health: (Save life and care for the healthy future)

• Visit to Jahi Maternity and Donation of mosquito nets, bed sheet, pillows, pillow cases and other health materials to the community health center.
• Donation of birthing kit and other useful items (Mama kit)

Economic and community development: club vocational programme

• Empowerment Project to some select disadvantaged women

Peace and conflict prevention and resolution:

• Visit to NURTW and Peace talk with members of the NURTW

Disease Prevention and Treatment:

• Donation of first aid box to schools
• Free eye test, blood sugar level test and blood pressure test in a community in Yola North.
• Active participation in family Health week/Talk

Public Image

• Ensure that our Activities are well cover using the Social Media, club website, Electronic and Print Media
• Club magazine/bulletin
• Club membership booklet

Expected sources of sponsorship:

1. The above projects are expected to be funded through the following sources:
   1. Donation, advert, goodwill messages during the president’s investiture.
   2. Distinct grant
   3. Partnership with other rotary clubs, individuals and organizations.
2. The projects have been conceptualized to tally with the six areas of focus and will as much as possible be executed within the month designated by rotary international for that area of focus.
3. The proposed project and budget are the minimum we expect to execute during the 2020/2021 Rotary year.
